ROCKSTAR's Queen of Soul had a terrific first show at 9.5 months of age at the 2019 Great Western Alpaca Show (GWAS) in Denver. Ari (short for Aretha) performed like a champ winning her age group and holding on to win the grey female Reserve Color Champion banner. She has surpassed any expectations we had for her - feeling like a proud mama on this one!
The judges concur with what we thought - she is exhibiting really great density and a fine, soft handling fleece with excellent uniformity and fleece character. Ari has spot-on confirmation, lovely balance , and a very feminine look to her. Judge Sharon Loner commented that she is really beautiful and that she is off to a great, great, start. Couldn't be happier - it will be most exciting to watch her continue to grow and develop - we can't wait!
